Dr. Rick Hall is an educator, consultant and public speaker who specializes in health innovation, nutrition and entrepreneurship.
Rick is a clinical professor and director in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University where he has taught courses on nutrition, innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and communications. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, member of the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists and Nutrition Entrepreneurs dietetic practice group. Rick is a frequently requested nutrition speaker in areas of health innovation, wellness and nutrition promotion.
Dr. Hall holds a degree in Nutrition from Northern Arizona University, a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition from Arizona State University, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Hospitality Managment from Iowa State University.
Rick has served as a nutrition expert and appointed board member on the Arizona Governor's Council on Health, Physical Fitness, and Sports. Rick was appointed as a founding member of the Academy's Council on Future Practice and is currently serving as an appointed member of the Academy's Position & Practice Paper Committee.
In addition to his professional life as a nutritionist, Rick Hall is an amateur endurance athlete, a marathon runner, and a six-time Ironman triathlon finisher (distance = 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run). He is also a successful entrepreneur and was recognized in 2007 by the Arizona Business Journal as one of the elite Forty Under 40.
